The HTC Desire Utilises the Power of the Android Operating System

Released in April 2010, the Desire from smartphone manufacturer par excellence HTC provides an enviable specification list, offering appeal to everyone from the everyday phone user to gadget freaks. Key features of the HTC Desire include Wi-Fi internet access, 5 megapixel digital camera and the Android OS (v2.1), and this is just scratching the surface, so it is easy to see why is has proven to be so popular.

The compact profile of the HTC Desire is makes it a highly portable smartphone which easily fits into a handbag or pocket. Wi-Fi allows a faster internet connection to be achieved when in a Wi-Fi hotspot, whilst other hardware device can be connected to thanks to Bluetooth and micro USB connections.

A high quality built in digital camera offers 5 MP of picture quality, resulting in great looking images. Of course, this camera can also shoot video in D1 quality, offering an alternative method of image capture. Several built in features simplify the task of taking great photos, and these include autofocus and an LED flash.

In terms of entertainment features, the HTC Desire delivers a versatile media player, as well as a built in radio player. A number of games are also pre-installed, keeping users entertained for hours on end. Social networking integration plays a big part in the appeal of the HTC Desire. Facebook, Flickr and Twitter all have dedicated applications which can be downloaded via the Android Market, so users can instantly access their accounts and stay up to date with friends and family.
